What’s
your first impression after seeing the product below and its specification?
It is a nice product, good design.
But then what do you think when you see the
product below?
You’ll no doubt be surprised at the
similarity and the first idea in your mind might be who copied whom?
Below is the true story of these two very
similar products.
DIMIKACAMERA.COM was registered on
12-Sep-2013.
And the product is now just released.
The picture below shows when the Mycrocam
720 was created.
2012,
Yes, 2012!
For more information for Mycrocam, you can
check the links below
Here is the history
of the Mycrocam 720.
808 #18 team
started to develop the PCB board for Mycrocam 720 at end of 2011.
Since early 2012
up to now, the 808 #18 team has received a plastic shell from a plastics
factory, assembled the PCB board and plastic shell together for shipping to Germany.
Now a few questions,
You’ve read all the above information,
- What do you think about these two cameras?
If Mycorcam, DIMIKA both read above information,
- What will Mycrocam do now?
- What will DIMIKA do now?
Hopefully you’ll
recall and agree with the sentiments expressed in my last blog.
‘Two far
different business strategies,’ and products of good quality not cheap fakes.
Only to innovate, to create new product, to build its reputation and trust with people.

ReplyDeleteFair competition is welcome, but not copy.
ReplyDeleteYou need to have a talk with your old buddies.
As far as I am concerned China has been making copies of many products. There aim is to make money. China will be going trough the same industrial changes as Japan did in the early 60's and 70's. Now they realised that its not making just any copies is enough, that the easy part. Its making not only jus a copy, but how can we make it better at the same price or less. That's smart thing, that also puts back a sense of moral duty into the Japanese manufactures. Above all it has tought the Japanese to Innovate, to be different and show the rest of the industry that its Ok to buy 'Made In Japan'. How many of us are looking for products to buy that have the label "Made In Japan" written on it (also copied by many Chinese manufactures) Chinese manufactures at some point in time will have to change its direction with certain products, otherwise it will lose its credibility that it desperately needs to keep the confidence of any buyer. Time will tel.
ReplyDeleteSomeone told me that people like the cheap and good quality products, no mater who is the copy.
